All together, I didn't do too poorly. Having $120 to work with for all my shopping and spending for the week, I spent more than I wanted, but I suppose the whole thing is supposed to be a learning experience. I spent $85 of my $120. The breakdown is as follows.
Target - $10 on Soda (will last me all month)
Aldi's - $45 on basics This seems really high to me for what I bought. Without too many details, I bought approximately the following.
6 canned goods
2 eggs
Coffee
Potatoes
Misc fruits
2 frozen veggies
Flour
Shop and Save - $20 (After about $12 in coupons, $8 in previous purchase rebates, and $10 left over on my gift card). My total before all that was $50. I suppose $85 isn't bad for a week's worth of groceries, but I want to find a way to get it down some more.
Life is messy. Living and Dying, Laughing and Crying, Sinning and Living Righteous lives, Learning and Instructing, Loving Friends and Enemies alike (or at least attempting to). God calls us to live among people accompanied by their messes and to make the world a better place through our living. Join me as I work to clear away my mess. Everyone's welcome because we all have messes. Some are just more obvious than others.

You go girl!!! I'm amazed (I shouldn't be - it's so you! - but I am), at your process and your success! I've found myself going to opposite way, not paying much attention at all. Not sure if I could go to the "Extreme" (in a good way) that you are, but maybe somewhere in between? I'm sure I'd see an effect in our grocery bills. We need to get together. I'll check my calendar.
