Life is messy. Living and Dying, Laughing and Crying, Sinning and Living Righteous lives, Learning and Instructing, Loving Friends and Enemies alike (or at least attempting to). God calls us to live among people accompanied by their messes and to make the world a better place through our living. Join me as I work to clear away my mess. Everyone's welcome because we all have messes. Some are just more obvious than others.
What an incredible time was had by all as we traveled to New Mexico! Steve candidated at a CREC church located in Edgewood, NM. The church is located about an hour from Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The area is very arid, though not hot. There are no large trees to speak of, but many small green shrubs. There are, of course, cacti of different kinds, but while not green, it is not all brown. The mountains are beautiful and high. There are three or four peaks in a two hour radius which are above 10,000 feet. We had the great privilege of heading to the top of one of these named Sandia Crest elevation 10,648 feet. When we got to the top, it was obviously high. Even Steve was a little winded walking up the hill to the lookout. These are some pictures from the look out. As you can tell from one of the pictures, it is also cold that high up.

We spent much time with the Spencer family while we were there. I am sorely disappointed that I did not get a picture of them as a family. One of the places to which we traveled is the Botanical Gardens and the Aquarium. Here are some pictures of part of the Botanical Gardens with a couple of the Spencer's and some of our children.

Now, again, we wait. We are eager to hear, and while we wanted other positions and do still want this position; we are waiting on the Lord to either open or shut this door. It is His to do with as He pleases.

Looks like you had a great trip! Praying along with you for God's will to be evident and hoping that this is it!
